Role: Fluid Systems Engineer

Design the circulatory system of the launch vehicle. Command extreme pressures, deep cryogenics, and supersonic two-phase flows.

Mission Overview

At AlgoForge Aerospace, a flawless engine design means nothing if you cannot deliver the propellant. As a Fluid Systems Engineer, you are responsible for the entire physical circulatory system of the AF-Series launch vehicles.

You will engineer the high-pressure, cryogenic networks that feed the VORTEX-1 Rotating Detonation Engine. This requires absolute precision in mitigating devastating cavitation, modeling transient water-hammer shockwaves, executing deep cryogenic chill-downs, and guaranteeing that our autogenous pressurization systems survive the brutal, unforgiving environment of orbital ascent.

Operational Objectives

Take complete ownership of propellant feed architectures, designing and sizing critical valves, regulators, and manifolds for the VORTEX-1 RDE.
Develop complex 1D fluid models to simulate highly transient behaviors, including water hammer, two-phase cryogenic flows, and automated chill-down sequences.
Execute rigorous 3D Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) on complex internal geometries, such as regenerative cooling channels and injector manifolds.
Define instrumentation requirements (flowmeters, ultra-fast pressure transducers, cryo-thermocouples) and integrate them with the DAQ and Avionics teams.
Drive live hot-fire operations at the test stand, aggressively analyzing telemetry to validate your theoretical fluid models against brutal physical reality.

Mission Prerequisites

BS/MS in Mechanical, Aerospace, or Chemical Engineering with a proven history of building complex fluid hardware.
Deep, intuitive mastery of thermodynamics, compressible/incompressible fluid mechanics, and advanced heat transfer.
Direct, hands-on experience routing and handling deep cryogenic fluids (LOX, LCH4, LN2) and ultra-high-pressure gas systems.
Proficiency in 1D fluid flow analysis software (GFSSP, Flownex) combined with custom Python/MATLAB scripting capabilities.
Uncompromising attention to detail regarding P&IDs, component material compatibility (oxygen safety), and failure mode analysis.

— Deployment Benefits —

Cryo Authority

Own the chill-down and autogenous pressurization logic for live launch operations.

Hardware-Rich

Spend less time in meetings and more time bending tubes at the test stand.

Data-Driven

Validate your CFD directly against real-time, high-frequency sensor telemetry.

Mission Critical

If your manifolds flow perfectly, the vehicle reaches orbit. You are the critical path.
