Role: GSE Engineer

Build the infrastructure. Wrangle the cryogenics. Erect the vehicle. Launch operations begin and end on the pad.

Mission Overview

At AlgoForge Aerospace, the launch pad is not just concrete—it is a massive, living machine. As a Ground Support Equipment (GSE) Engineer, you will design, build, and operate the heavy mechanical infrastructure that keeps our launch vehicles alive before T-0.

You are the architect of Stage Zero. From towering Transporter-Erectors to ultra-high-pressure cryogenic tank farms, you ensure the pad can withstand the fury of the VORTEX-1 engines and reset for the next flight within 24 hours.

Operational Objectives

Take extreme ownership of critical GSE hardware, designing and fabricating Strongbacks, Hold-Down Clamps, and Umbilical retract mechanisms.
Architect and maintain massive liquid oxygen (LOX) and liquid methane (LCH4) propellant farms, alongside 6,000+ PSI pneumatic purge systems.
Drive rapid automated turnaround capabilities, utilizing PLCs and automated fluid routing to drastically reduce time-on-pad.
Lead heavy lifting and vehicle integration operations at SDSC SHAR, operating cranes and specialized transport rigs in harsh field environments.
Troubleshoot complex mechanical and hydraulic failures on the fly during active countdowns to prevent launch scrubs.

Mission Prerequisites

BS in Mechanical, Structural, or Heavy Systems Engineering with a relentless drive to build large-scale hardware.
Deep, hands-on fabrication experience—you should be as comfortable with a TIG welder and a torque wrench as you are in CAD.
Expertise in designing high-pressure fluid systems (ASME B31.3), cryogenic routing, and heavy hydraulic actuation.
Uncompromising proficiency in 3D CAD (NX/SolidWorks) for massive, multi-thousand-part structural assemblies.
Willingness to live the field engineering lifestyle, deploying to active launch sites and working long hours to meet the launch window.

The Front Line

Work directly on the launch pad at the center of the action.

Massive Scale

Design hardware measured in tons, not grams.

Extreme Ownership

If it touches the ground, you own it. Full lifecycle responsibility.

Fluid Mastery

Command industrial-scale cryogenics and high-pressure pneumatics.
