Role: RF / Telemetry Engineer

Command the invisible tether. Guarantee unbroken telemetry through hypersonic plasma and extreme vibration. If the data dies, the flight didn't happen.

Mission Overview

At AlgoForge Aerospace, data is our most critical payload. As an RF & Telemetry Engineer, you own the vital, invisible umbilical cord between the AF-Series launch vehicle and Mission Control.

This isn't building a consumer Wi-Fi router. You are responsible for ensuring high-fidelity RF links survive the extreme EMI, acoustic shock, and plasma blackout of a Rotating Detonation Engine (RDE) ascent. From the custom Node 2 Flight Computer to the Node 3 Ground Station, you guarantee that our telemetry stream never drops.

Operational Objectives

Take absolute ownership of RF link budgets, guaranteeing unbroken command uplinks and high-bandwidth telemetry downlinks under extreme orbital dynamics.
Design, characterize, and aggressively tune custom antenna architectures (433MHz/915MHz LoRa, S-Band) using VNAs to eliminate dead zones.
Develop ultra-low-latency, bare-metal C++ firmware to serialize, compress, and transmit high-frequency sensor streams (IMU, load cells) with zero packet loss.
Fortify flight avionics against catastrophic EMI/RFI generated by the VORTEX-1 engine's ignition relays, high-voltage servos, and plasma exhaust.
Bridge the hardware-software divide, piping raw receiver streams directly into our Next.js Mission Director Dashboard for real-time Launch Director decisions.

Mission Prerequisites

BS/MS in Electrical Engineering, RF Engineering, or Telecommunications with a proven track record of shipping physical RF hardware.
Deep, intuitive mastery of RF circuit design, impedance matching, Software Defined Radios (SDR), and rigorous link budget analysis.
Uncompromising embedded C/C++ programming skills, specifically pushing microcontrollers and high-speed buses (SPI/I2C) to their absolute limits.
Expert understanding of complex modulation schemes (LoRa, FSK, QPSK), forward error correction (FEC), and packet framing protocols.
A relentless troubleshooting mindset—you must be able to hunt down microsecond latency spikes and parasitic RF noise using spectrum analyzers.

The Absolute Umbilical

If your link drops, we go blind. You hold the vehicle's lifeline.

Antenna to API

Own the entire data pipeline, from bare-metal RF propagation to JSON payload ingestion.

Hostile Environments

Design electronics that thrive in the brutal acoustic environment of a detonation engine.

Ground Truth

The telemetry you secure is the only proof that our physics models actually work.
